A Week In Paradise (Palau)

August 1, 2014

I’m just finishing up my first week of living here in Palau and working with the FIU. It has been great get settled in to living in such a beautiful place, and Nelson and Boboy, my two coworkers at the FIU, have been nothing but receptive and welcoming, both in regard to living and working here.

My work this summer, as opposed to comprising of a single project, seems to involve a handful of diverse objectives. It looks like I will be doing everything from troubleshooting issues with the existing database here, to working to connect the FIU, digitally, to other branches/agencies of government, to implementing capacity for new software for the FIU to manage their various investigations. Suffice to say, it looks like it’ll be a busy summer!

All of that being said, I am still revising my Context Analysis and Scope of Work for the my time here. So, stay tuned for more updates, both about my work and about the adventures I have while in Palau!
